Your privacy choices

Back Then Daily never sells your name or email address. But like most free, ad-supported sites, we let advertising partners collect information such as cookie identifiers and the pages you visit, so they can show ads that match your interests. Under the privacy laws of California and several other states, that can count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, or as “targeted advertising”. You have the right to say no.
How to opt out
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends this signal, we treat it as a request to opt out for that browser. You don’t have to do anything else.
- Privacy settings. Use the button below to open the privacy settings and turn off the sale and sharing of your information.
- Ask us. Write to hello@backthendaily.com with “Do not sell or share” in the subject line.
If no button appears here, your browser is blocking the advertising scripts, so no personalized ads are shown. You can also write to us.
Opting out doesn’t remove ads. You’ll still see them, but they won’t be based on your browsing.
What we collect and why

We don’t collect sensitive personal information such as your Social Security number, financial account numbers or precise location. Our privacy policy explains who we share information with and how long we keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we’ve collected about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that’s wrong;
- delete the information we hold about you;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and of targeted advertising;
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights.
How to make a request
Write to hello@backthendaily.com and tell us what you’d like us to do. To protect you, we’ll confirm the request from the email address it concerns. Someone you’ve authorized can make a request for you, with your signed permission. We answer within 45 days.
If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying with “Appeal” in the subject line. We’ll answer the appeal within 60 days and explain our decision. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact your state’s attorney general.
